It's $3 for a reason. That brand sucks.

Geez, a few stores near me have over 100 in stock (for $5 though).

I did find one store that had it for $2, only 6 in stock though.

Don't need this but good find if these are useful.

If I don't play games, would I use this for anything else? I've never even looked into a VR goggle before, but I'm assuming these googles don't do anything except hold your phone and provide the lenses needed to view?

It is also my understanding vr goggles only work with certain phones, please correct me if I'm wrong sd'rs. And iirc, onn is the crap company that had rca tv licence for awhile and their tv sucked

Lol. With 2 customer reviews, and one of them not verified, Amazon's Choice is definitely the wrong one in this case.

yup, I thought that was funny. They must be trying to move them as well and probably have tons in stock.

With that being said, I have to go to Walmart to pick up my 40" Samsung TV this weekend so I placed an order for one at the same store since it was $3. This way I don't feel like "I drove for this crap?" if it ends up being crap. Just wanted to grab one and play around with it.

They have been marking these down for MONTHS. Lowest in my area is $5.

The biggest qualifier on VR headset compatibility on phones is the phone having gyrometer hardware inside.
Most phones are quad core and most have at least 2GB of RAM. Those would be other 2 things to consider.
Keep in mind VR takes tons of power so battery life, and sealed vs removeable battery is a consideration.
I've written quite a few grad school papers on VR/AR and a buddy and I are looking to build a startup around similar themes.

Will an iPhone 7 Plus qualify as a candidate for this?

Mine had a sign that said "associates choice." I'm assuming this is Walmart's response to Amazons choice. Not sure if I would trust an associates opinion of anything found in Walmart's electronic section. 🤔
