Amazon warehouse deals has a used-like new one for less than $150. I bought one of same from them a while back ago for like $110 and other than a damaged box, it was brand new. Might be worth a look. Great machines for light to medium snow.

Yeah I saw the ware house deal (now gone) they were quite descriptive of the actual item (scratched up on top etc..) I did not want add that to my post since it was only for 1 unit. Still i thought it was a great deal because I imagine the Battery alone is close to that price.

Same here, bought an Amazon Warehouse deal in the summer for a little under $110, only the box was damaged, everything else appeared like new... Except the battery would not charge, contacted Amazon and the best they offered was $40 credit or I could return it (didn't have any more in stock). I really didn't want to return it so I took the $40 credit and started searching for a battery.

Then I started thinking why am I buying a battery when clearly the old battery is defective (it appeared to be new and unused) so I filed a warranty claim, turns out it was the charger was defective and not the battery. Snow Joe's customer service/warranty was amazing, after submitting the required information I had the replacement the next day (of course it helps that I live 20 minutes away from them so shipping was quick) and I had 45 days to ship back the defective unit.

In the end it cost me $70 for this unit + a little bit of hassle. I just wish it came with the 5.0Ah battery instead of the 4.0Ah, it died a few minutes before I was done (only had 1 opportunity to use it). So I threw it on the charger, shoveled some parts that the snow blower can't be used and went back and completed the job after (probably left on the charger for under 30 minutes)

Thanks OP. I also purchased the extended warranty for $20.50; thus, 2 yrs manufacture + 4 yrs ext warranties.

With the 4Ah battery included, this is quite a good price. Anyone use this model? 18" wide and 8" deep snow seems far-fetched. But I only have a 2000 sq ft driveway that's mostly 1.5 car width...so could work. Thoughts?
