Has anyone been able to successfully use PP for this TV with Discover? I submitted the screenshot, but looks like now they have started calling the vendor. Any particular had site that you had success with? (For discover)

Can I ask a dumb question about the price protection people are posting about? Is the expectation that the price will drop during the Superbowl sales by $500 and thats why people are expecting to pay less for these tvs? Why not just wait for the Superbowl
Sales? Are people worried that they wont be able to find one then?

Most people are submitting price protections for shaddy sites like tvsuperstore who have a list price of ~1600 but are really just a bait and switch company who will never ship it at that price. Most CC companies with PP will accept these sites as legitimate claims against PP. YMMV though

Question for you guys—I got this TV from Beach Camera at the same price, was just delivered today. Right after the delivery guy left, I noticed a small dent on the top of the TV — it's pretty minor, but if I look at the TV from the side, I can see a slight indent in the glass screen too.

I called them up and they seemed very reluctant to replace it (probably because I'm all the way in CA). They offered a $100 refund which I declined, and they said if I send them pics of the damage they can offer more.
How much $ would you take for a minor dent in the frame over getting it replaced?

Don't take discounts. Dents and scratches on TV are bad news. Insist on a flawless replacement unit.

Isn't Costco's version called B7P? If so, PP may not qualify

I had the same thing happen on a water cooler from Amazon. I took a 30% discount on it.

But that was a $100 water cooler.

For this tv, I agree with this:

Ahh, o.k. so people are buying for $2K and then submitting price protect cases on lower priced sites. O.k.

Thanks,

Was it damaged in the shipping? Was it not double boxed?
