My previous xfinity promo deal ended. I got $39.95 for 12 months for 150Mb/s and the price went up to $79.95. Called retention 4 times. Each time with different quote.
1. $39.99 + $10 speed update to 150Mb/s down.
2. $39.99 + $15 speed update
3. $64.99
4. called again and took the first deal ($49.99)

Probably not the best deal, but decent comparing to whats avaIlable to my area.

Just wondering, did you try online chat as well? I usually do that as it's easier than waiting on the phone.

Last week, my contract was expired and my bill went up again ($80) and they upgraded my speed to 150Mbps.
I called them and asked for Loyalty Department. I just asked to have my speed back 100Mbps which is plenty for my family and I wanted to price to be $50.
At first, the representative tried to hook me up with TV/Phone services for $80, just be firm with your decision and they will give you the offer. It took me around 5 mins or so.

If you have better skill in negotiation, you would get a better deal.

Thanks! Do you have competitors in your house? In my case it's either Comcast or 20Mb/s adsl from att, which is not really an option Frown

I'm currently getting 100mb/s download from Xfinity for $39.99/mo for 12 months, so this isn't a bad deal.

My wife's Promo plan ends this month - 25Mb for $29. Can I just have her cancel her account and then order in my name at a new promo rate? Thanks in advance.

I was on that same plan but they bumped up my speed to 150mbps for free last month. My contract is expiring next month so I called retention and they were able to give me 150mbps for $50 for a year. I'm constantly getting around 280-300 so I'm quite content.

Glad to hear this. I literally just joined XFinity last month (got their Triple Play--phone/TV/Internet) for $89.99. Internet speed is 200MB down (Blast was included for free for first year--after that it's $13/month). It's a 2-year contract. It will go up by $25 per month after year 2 and then revert to the current price (another $40 increase in year 3).

I know things may change a lot in 2-3 years, but hopefully they will still offer discounts for customers then.

Lucky. I'm paying $49.99 for 25mbps. Zero competition in my area (well, Verizon DSL w/3mbps download is available for the same price).

I might call them for kicks...
