Actual a very good deal. Last year's model of this TV got good reviews from rtings.com. That review is still available to read. This has multi zone local dimming although not a lot of zones. At this price I'd buy it over the TCL S405 series.

A step down no doubt. The Hisense 9 series which is hard to find would be in the TCL P series range. Maybe a step ahead with it's true 120hz refresh rate. Reviews are hard to come by.

This tv is very good, great picture and all... IF you are sitting directly in front of it.

Any angle viewing suffers. And I mean just slightly off angle... you notice it looks washed out.

So it's great if you have no friends or if its a bedroom tv... because it does have a fantastic picture and the backlight is eye-bleeding bright.

Why does SD support trash brands???? I'm beginning to dislike this site! Watch this go FP when there are 10 other better items PURPOSELY looked over
Trash brands? I only buy trash brand tvs because im a realist and I understand that 99% of people cannot see a difference between a 700 samsung or a 400 hisense.

This website is all about pinching them pennies, thats why the cheapest 4k tvs are popular.

I understand his statement
Slick deals used to have a much wider range of different grades of products
Luxury items can be a good deal at the right price..Smilie

However...SD seems to be 95% lower end products these days

ANY RANGE of product can be a good deal for the right price
No doubt lower/mid range products offer better bang for your buck
However..they may not meet your expectations of performance or use

I believe that the TCL also has a native 60hz with their artificial 120hz built in.
I would also like to know if anyone has any insight, since the TCL was on sale for $348 in many Walmarts.

While I agree with you, I would have to assume that with TVs, it really depends on what people look for. I still see OLED TVs and 75" UHD HDR TVs on SD, and while they are not as popular on SD as the cheaper ones are, I would also assume that the number of people shopping for these high end TVs are also fewer and far in between.

If people just want to watch some TV, and you can get 80% of Samsung quality at 50% of the cost, it is an obvious choice for those with a tighter budget. The noticeable price gap between the cheaper TVs and high end TVs are allowing the cheaper ones to thrive, and that's why you see more of them on SD.

For that Sharp guy with his/her juvenile comment, if you are one of the elite that needs to buy the best quality, the best you can do is wait for such a deal, since SD caters to the general population.

Hisense runs the Opera OS which doesn't currently support Hulu - in case it matters to you.
