For those with audio issues such as feedback, crackling, whining etc. - your car will require an audio ground loop isolator (~$8) to be a passthrough, its not an issue with the device itself but with how your aux port and device are powered by the same power source.

For those with always hot (on) DC ports you'll need to put this in a location that is easy to "wakeup" once you get in the car.

Very bad quality sound from this transmitter.

Ditto. I bought 2 on Amazon awhile back hoping they would solve my audio issues in my car and home. They transmit but the sound is like AM radio on a bad day.

Any experiences with this product to add to a home audio receiver? Most of the reviews on Amazon are related with car stereo systems

Edit: Looking at the reviews seems this unit has a weak signal. Good for the car, but it may problematic for the room.

OP if these do not transmit on Bluetooth like a phone to a headset you wouldn't call them a receiver/transmitter. Only one transmits, and in FM

Does anyone know any other receiver that would turn on automatically when I start the car without having me to long press power button and put it in receiving mode? I l currently have one and since my audio jack is under the small armrest compartment, it's super annoying.

You can try this one, it turns on when you start the car and automatically detect my phone. bought this one 2 years ago and still works fairly well. The only issue is the charging port, 1A, so it will charge very slowly.

I was excited to see this deal but comments are turning me away. Can you recommend a good Bluetooth transmitter for car and tv?

I've tried several that were designed to plug into the cigarette lighter & they all come on automatically when power is applied - I leave it plugged in because my car automatically cuts power to accessories after a short period of time when not running.

I don't recommend you rely on them for phone calls as the mics on almost all the ones I tried were worthless (one was just barely okay, but it broke easily due to a gooseneck with poor wiring), but they work fine for music. You should be able to go into the Bluetooth settings on your phone and disable using it for phone calls. I gave up trying to find one good for phone calls & am now just using the Jabra Xtreme that was posted here a few weeks ago for $15 - works well enough (particularly the mic), but I do wish it weren't so quiet.

The real MVP - Thanks! The comments of poor audio quality made me hesitant to pick one up, but for $5, I'm in.

Even cheaper on fleabay if you don't mind waiting (dunno if you have to wait for that Groupon one) - here's the same for $3, for example: https://m.ebay.com/itm/Universal-...SwSrNaO4NC
