This doesn't have NFC.

I eagerly await the flood of comments that it's useless because it doesn't have NFC like the Honor 7X thread.

I will go ahead and count all that flood of comments as they come in

(crickets)

Unless SD are full of hypocrites that flood is coming...I will await...
This phone is indeed useless because it doesn't have NFC like the Honor 7x.

Honestly though, who actually uses NFC? I remember like 6 years ago it seemed neat but who uses their phone to pay for stuff? Too lazy to take your card out of your wallet? NFC is one of the last features I care about. I want Wireless AC on my phone. This phone for NO REASON doesn't have wireless AC on it. It was released in the middle of 2017 without AC wireless... smh Frown

I pay for stuff using my watch; don't need to take out my 5.5" phone. I like it a lot.

Great phone. Am currently using it.
Lowest price was 215 no tax last month.
229 is Same price on motorola.com so not really a deal no reason to jump on this.

You are talking about the wrong phone. Give me the link to Motorola and I guarantee you its not the same phone. You are talking about the G5 Plus. This is the G5S Plus. Lol, motorola was just stupid thinking consumers would be able to tell the difference. That's why you don't name models so similarly because consumers don't read.

I also concur that, this phone is indeed useless because it doesn't have NFC like the Honor 7x.

In regards to NFC, I find the MST via Samsung Pay to be the most useful as it can be used almost anywhere (minus gas pumps). It's especially useful as a faster alternative to chip readers. I've got a Moto Z2 Play coming as a warranty substitute for a 2015 Moto X. Looking forward to trying it out against my Samsung GS6 Edge plus.

How long did you have the Moto X and what happened to it?

Reviews say the camera is a little crappy, but it does do 1080p/60fps and 4K/30fps...

I bought my Moto X Pure 32 gb December 2015. Bought Motocare that expired on January 12th. Mailed in on the 10th and since they no longer make the Moto X 2015 they substituted the Z2 Play 64.

In 2015 I did the same with my original Moto X and they substituted a Nexus 6. 😁. Just gotta wait until the phone you have under warranty is out of production.
