Genuine Instant Pot Silicon Sealing Ring 2-Pack - 6 Quart Red/Blue $8.96

Lowest price on camelcamelcamel. I needed some extras to sort the different food. All those videos/guides on purging smell did not work for me, they must not cook with heavy spices.

Though not Instant Pot branded, this four-pack for $11.99 is a much better deal per ring unless you really only want two:

Those are not genuine Instant Pot branded rings. I'd prefer to use OEM when it comes to anything pressure cooker.

It's your money. It's pretty hard to screw up a silicone ring, and my third-party rings (which look, fit and function exactly like OEM) have been working just fine. YMMV. I like saving money. 🙂

Not tellin ya how to live your life there, chief. Just pointing out that they are not OEM so people can decide for themselves on whether the money savings is worth the potential reduction in quality and safety.

Roger that, fella. Just sharing my actual experience with non-OEM rings that cost a lot less. 🙂

FWIW, the pressure in the Instant Pot on high pressure (2 bar/15 psi) is about the same as in a can of soda, and the lid is physically locked in place. The greatest danger from a failed ring is a bit of steam leaking out. It's not like it's going to explode, blow the lid off, etc.

Apologies for being off-topic ... does the pot itself ever go on sale? Thinking of getting the 8-qt Ultra.

With these aftermarket rings, they're all made in the same factory in China, regardless of which brand they're listed under. Haven't seen this *specific* brand, but in three different orders from three different sellers and brands, all had the same packaging and markings. Reviews on all of this stuff out of China mean very little anymore anyway, with all the incentivized reviews nowadays. YMMV.

The 3- and 6-quart pots have both been on sale in the past few days. Haven't seen the 8-quart pot on sale, but I haven't been watching for it.

EDIT: I may have misunderstood your question. My reply above is with regard to extra inner pots. If you mean the whole thing, then yes, they go on sale periodically. The best deals recently were between Black Friday and Christmas. I'd watch Amazon Warehouse Deals for an open box at a discount.

Of course I just ordered these last week for 11.95. How often in anyone's experience do you have to/should replace them, though? I am a year in to my Instant Pot and bought the red/blue to keep the smells out of my clear that I just replaced due to it being saturated. Wondering if I should buy spares for the immediate future.

Always on sale around Black Friday. Scattered sales throughout the year, but not as good.

I'll go for value based on your input. tho to be fair, idk if I'm going to switch it every time I cook something sweet vs savory vs other. more is always better right? 😅

The 8 was $100 a week ago at Kohl's with a 30% off coupon code.
