looks good to me, and nice that it's 2x16gb so I can add more later if this stuff ever gets back to a reasonable price.

$75 per 8 GB or $150 per 16GB is a good price for GSkill Trident and 3200Mhz. Hard to go wrong with this deal at the current rate that DDR4 memory is going up.

Sadly this is a good price, when you consider 16gb is going for $200 these days

Between the miners and the ram makers collusion, for the first time I will say if you are a gamer buy a xbox one x or ps4 pro, and wait for better days. This is ridiculous

Several Q:

1. I already order Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 32GB Kit (8GBx4) DDR4 2666 MT/s (PC4-21300) DR x8 DIMM 288-Pin - BLS4K8G4D26BFSC (White) from AMAZON for my ASUS Prime Z370-A

Should I cancel Crucial and buy this one instead?

2. In one Newegg review:
Quote :
Cons: The vent fins are so big that you better hope you don't have a need to install a large CPU Heatsink. For instance, you cannot fit 4 sticks of this on a Z270 board, with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO heatsink. It won't happen. Either get lower profile RAM or a different type of Heatsink.
I have Noctua NH-U14S, will this work with the RAM?

ballistix needs about 1.3v to be stable on my rig. I was looking to upgrade from 8x4gb 2400 but these ram prices are going to make me wait.

I guess it depends on how much you spent on it. If you are annoyed because of the 3200 vs 2666, I highly doubt you would notice a difference.

2 thoughts, 1 apparently there are some FPS differences for higher speed ddr4, its pretty shocking, it was widely considered silly imho but the benches have started to come out like this one: https://www.techspot.com/article/...page3.html

If you're running a big chip (-e) I think you will want the 4 pack to get the quad memory bandwidth.

G.skill gets 4 reviw in Newegg and 0 review in Amazon,

While Crucial Ballistix Sport gets 0 reviw in Newegg and 933 reviews in Amazon,

The price difference is about $10 (I get some discount at Amazon)

BTW: Why Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR4 2400 is more expensive than 2666?

Yeah, it makes a difference with fps, but it really depends on price. The speed boost isn't worth x amount of dollars is what I mean.
