Intel's QLC plans have hit the market hard. I'll not be surprised if I get 1TB for around $150 in the next few months.

But QLC type cells in an SSD cause it to not last as long and wear out faster no?

You think that a cutting edge technology product would be sold for $150. No chance.

It won't make it a speed demon, but it's a very noticeable increase. The storage is usually the bottleneck on any laptop or desktop. Always my first suggestion on upgrades as long as it has 4+ gb of RAM

Ha. I was just looking at these, last night.

Amazon came down (since last night) to $139... Maybe I can hold out a little and it'll be at $129 from them?

I ran a test on an ssd that ran for 2 years, it said expected life 20 years Smilie I'm not too worried about the wear out issue. I do hope it forces regular SSD prices to come down though.
