hard to say what one would review here... u plug in and charge it... as long as it;s UL rated as they say, not sure what else I would personally care..

now if it was usb-c or qc 3.0, then sure, one would measure other things, but then it wouldn't be $7.80

Given the company's willingness to encourage fake reviews,I guess that I would be concerned about whether it is truly UL rated.

I understand that it's hard to rise above the pack of similar products. They could offer this cheap and hope for good reviews.

But my comfort level with potentially dangerous/hazardous electrical devices is now lower than it used to be.

Same. Way too much stuff that isn't within tolerances these days or uses the absolute thinnest wires/weakest components possible. I've also had cheapo generic USB chargers start smoking when plugged in. Luckily, we were home to pull it out of the wall and clear out the smoke, but who knows what would have happened if we weren't home.
