I've been subscribed to this magazine for 6 months now and have to say it's like Wired but with better quality articles and less ads. TU.

I've never heard of this magazine, but I bit based on the reviews I read. How can they have any ads at all at this price though! I subscribe to The Sun and Milk Street - both expensive and neither have ads.

Of course, Wired is often $5 for 12 issues instead of this which is $15 for 6. Wired also does some excellent cybersecurity coverage, although I think everything is available online

Make has gone downhill - way too much focus on the wierd people making things instead of projects.

haven't seen makezine for a while. Never seem to see it at barnes and noble anymore. Is it still filled with projects because the previous posts make me think otherwise. This price is pretty darn good too

Make has gone downhill. Most of the Jan/Feb issue was dedicated to 3D printers reviews. I understand 3D printing is great and all but they could have created a separate supplemental issue for added price to cover these tons of reviews rather than wasting a regular issue. My 2c.

Was about to pull the trigger on this as it's something I've always wanted to subscribe to, but from a few of you mentioning it going downhill, I'm gonna pass. I've already got a mountain of magazines I flipped through once, don't need to add to it if it's not as good as it used to be :/ Thanks!

I was going to order 1 year $14.95 with the coupon code. When I clicked the "Check out with PayPal", I got a popup offer for a second year another $1 less, so 2 years for $28.90. YMMV? I've occasionally gotten some electronic issues through Humble Bundle, but have wanted a physical subscription. This is still $2.50 per issue.

Also, for those asking about content, you can check out a free PDF issue by signing up for an email newsletter:

If we order now, would we receive the Feb/March issue? Really only inclined to buy this in support of their cover story on Naomi Wu
