ASUS and MSI rebates approved 9/2/2017, still no payment. Is this normal?

It's 3 and a half month since approval. I would think they would have paid by now? whats your experience?

The reason I'm asking, I want to pick up an ASUS product, that has a $50 rebate attached, if I'm not going to get the rebate, would rather not.

It usually takes at least 4 months. Have you checked their respective rebate tracking site (asus.4myrebate.com / msi.4myrebate.com) and see if they mailed out your rebate card/check?

Yes, I have, they haven't mailed anything, but both rebates have been in approved state for 3.5+ months with no further updates, their own email states it would be 8-10 weeks. This year I have done 4 rebates all around the same time 1 MSI, 1 ASUS, and 2 newegg, I received the newegg rebates already, even though they were redeemed a couple of weeks later.

Even tho I haven't done many rebates recently, in the past I have done many, and 4myrebate would always fulfill them withing stated 8-10 weeks. Is 4 month the new normal?

From my experience, Asus rebates take the longest, at least 4 months. I'm not sure why but it doesn't hurt to reach out to them.

Today I had to call in about an Asus rebate (15.00)....probably the same as the one you're talking about. It was approved 10-5 but I hadn't gotten the card yet. I called and they said it was on the way now. I asked why that status wasn't showing up online and they said it just happened. lol I think it just happened because I called about it. I'm all caught up with Newegg rebates now after I get this last one but I had about 6 or so near the end that were stuck in approval status. I had to call to get them to actually send the card....don't know what that's about.

So far in January, I hadn't purchased any rebated items.
