Wow! This is an amazing price! But it's Spirit. I heard really bad things about them.
Any comments?

I've flown spirit on several occasions and never had an issue. Theyre a no frills airline, no TV's in the seats, pay for luggage (one small carry-on allowed). They advertise that they have the newest planes and from my experience they do. NY to Chicago is a quick flight anyways, at this price it's a very very slick deal.

Great price if it was any other airline. This is the S-Hole of airlines. Avoid!

Just look up spirit horror stories and you are in for a treat. Most times it's fine but when it's not...........

Spirit/Frontier is awful. But I guess if you're short on cash, go for it

Just because you buy a Ferrari instead of a Chevy doesn't mean you won't crash

Wow do you pampered pansies need a kings throne on your way to a destination/ Get over yourselves, it's economy flight. They have to minimize weight and flying your fat ass all around already uses enough fuel so stop bitching.

I've only flown spirit once and I hated it. After all the fees and stuff it ended up being similarly priced to a regular airline. like someone previously said its not THAT bad if you know what to expect. Read up on their fees and see if it works for you. And prepare for a slightly smaller seat and the possibility of a dirty or weird smelling cabin. That being said, I'd consider flying with them again, but only if it was significantly cheaper than the other airlines.
