This is my first deal posting, so whoa, go easy.

Price drop: Use code Focus15
  • Lifetime: $51.00
  • 1-year: $17
There are 2 deals at this link. Both expire 3/6/18. One is a focus@will lifetime sub to this 50-channel music service for $60. The other is a yearly sub at $20. (You can additionally get a 10%-off code if this is your first buy at StackSocial, which is like a Groupon for tech deals.)

This service serves up calming music to work by. You can choose from many genres, and then tweak the "intensity" level to achieve maximum immersion in your work project. That's the idea, and it works for me.

Are the "neuroscience" claims real or wishful hype bubbles? Dunno. You can google some reviews that will make you hesitate, esp. this Wired review: https://www.wired.com/2014/07/neu...music-app/ which skillfully debunks the "science" behind the service. Here's a review https://www.timeatlas.com/find-focus/ from someone who likes it, although she also doubts the science and the metrics.

Is it worth it? Dunno for you. For me, yes. I don't use it as often as I'd like, but for whatever reason(s), it does help focus me when I need it. That's worth the price of admission, placebo or no, esp. at this price. I could use Spotify or something else, but this is easy and friction-free.

I've been paying a promo price of $24/yr for three years now. Their pricing is truly all over the map (see https://www.focusatwill.com/gift-account/ ). $60 for a lifetime subscription is the lowest possible ever, I think. So I'm taking the dive. I just am hoping they stay afloat...at least for my lifetime sub.

If you want to get a taste of focus@will, you can apparently sign up for a 15-day trial (no credit card needed). You can also search YouTube for their sample videos with soundtracks.

I hope this helps someone. I am in no way related to this business.

Payment Method: PayPal Please note that charges on your credit card will be from STACKSOCIAL Description QTY Cost Per Unit Amount Focus@Will: Lifetime Premium Subscription 1 $59.99 $59.99 Focus@Will: Premium Lifetime Subscription Subtotal: $59.99 Tax: N/A Shipping: free TOTAL CHARGED: $59.99

Lifetime? I just got the lifetime subscribtion, and it actually expires on April 24, 2101. If I am 20 years old, then technically that's only 89 years away... Don't we live much longer now??

This service has been around since 2012-ish and I signed up for the beta at that time. I've been a fan ever since and even paid their "then-lowest-price" of $150 in 2015 for a lifetime license. So $51 is definitely a great deal. I use this at work all the time and its truly worth it IMHO!

Normally $99/year, so it's a good deal if you like it. They have a couple 'channels' I love, several that I like, and several that I hate.

I mix this in with a couple Pandora and Spotify playlists I also use during work, depending on my mood and the task at hand.

beware "lifetime" memberships to anything online today - may not be tomorrow,

also your needs and competition may leave you stuck with something useless.

I got this deal late last year and use it as much for the timer function as the music. Remember, however, that you're not buying this for the music or as some sort of magic productivity hocus pocus. It is a tool to trigger more disciplined mindfulness and attentive work. You could create the playlists, categories, and timer function yourself. But if you've got that much free time on your hands, this program is not for you.

If you're working 60 hours a week in a good paying job that requires focus and creativity, if this increases your productivity by just one percent, it pays for itself in the first month.
