With the RGB one, do you HAVE to plug in both USBs? Or is it only if I want the RGB lighting?

Does anyone know if the lights can be turned off completely? Wanting to get one for office (we are old schoolers who love the loud blues in office).

Yes they can. The software is a little flakey but gives you plenty of control once you figure it out. If you don't ever need to use the lights though then I'd get a Corsair K65 with MX Blue's when they go on sale.

I have a G.Skill KM780 RGB at home and a Corsair K65 for work. Both are great quality.

I did not think I would like a 10 keyless. So far I have not missed the keypad. I bought this one last week for $30. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N57WL39 If you look in the promotions there is add a 'gaming' mouse for 90% off if you by the keyboard. The mouse is not bad, although I would not call it gaming. Has on the fly DPS switching, side buttons--although they are small. But, the mouse's page has a $2 off click coupon that I clicked before 'adding both to cart' from the keyboard's page, which made the mouse free. (unless the fixed it) So, $30 for LED mech keyboard and the mouse.

Notes: Keyboard does not change colors of led's. So one is stuck with the rainbow. There are on keyboard controls for brightness and for 'modes.' For example, it will light up FPS keys, RTS keys, or there are a few funky modes like leave a key lit for 3 secs as you type, or cause ripple lighting from each key press.

I've been pleased with it for the price. Other note, it is from a third party (China, less than 300 total raitings, which is why I have not made a stand-alone thread for it) and shipped by Amazon. I did not install the keyboard/mouse control software because I did not trust it.

G.Skill makes a TKL but I can't seem to find any for sale anywhere.

Maybe the product is not released in the US yet.

I mean...if you don't care about what switches you're getting, then I would get that. But I care.

If a person was mainly interested in typing, what switches are the best? What's the deal with Cherry MX Speed Silver? It says, " it has the lowest actuation force and shortest travel distance" which sounds nice for typing as I'm used to typing on a laptop which I imagine has the shortest travel distance. Would it be the choice for typing?
