There goes another devaluation on my diamond status. It's bad enough you can get it with the credit card if you spend enough, but now there's going to be a ton more diamond members and upgrades are going to be harder to get.

I doubt many people will pay the $450 annual fee. Chase Sapphire Reserve will be a much better choice.

Anyway, I am not big fan of Hilton points either. If I don't have an incoming week-long stay soon, I wouldn't apply now.

Hmm, ok, they're charging $20 more annual fee than the Surpass. But at least there are new cards to get sign up bonuses so I'll close my old ones.

I just PCed my sapphire to another freedom
why, because
#1 - 5% categories are too tempting. (i.e. the current 5% is extremely easy)
#2 - I had already gotten the credit for the second year before the annual fee, so the time was now
#3 I could go back to it later on if I decided (without bonus, of course)
#4 only travel about 3 weeks/times per year

If you fly, that extra $20 gives you 10 visits to airport lounges.

Does the reward points can redeem to gift cards? And how much you can redeem?

If you fly you already have at least 1 or more better cards with free unlimited airport lounge visits and free guests too.... so that's a worthless benefit to most.

It's probably too late for that. You needed to cancel back in November.

What card with an annual fee <$100 gives free lounge access?
