It's cheap but 400 lumens is pretty dim especially for a spot light.

Yep considering these things are generally mounted higher off the ground, that 400 lumens will look even dimmer compared to 400 lumens inside the house.

You get what you pay for with these outdoor lighting. It's not even motion sensing either. My RAB 360 motion lights have gone through snow, rain, -20°F degree weather with -40°F windchill and comes on perfectly fine.

I wonder if these would work in the attic.

These will work great in the attic, just remember to bring them down and put them in the sun every day to recharge.

With all the brainless invalid morons on this site, and the impossible task of educating [or escaping] them, I figured I might as well join them! Smilie

It will charge in the attic just as good as it charges at night.

I bought this a few weeks back for the side of the house so I could see while taking out the trash. It is actually pretty bright and I have been happy with it so far.

With it being so cheap I wonder which time I will walk out and not have light though....

I remember when I used to get scared taking the garbage out at night

not a far fetched idea. If the panel is removable, you could extend the two wire that goes to the lights. Then mount the panel outside (right outside the eaves) and leave the two lights inside of the attic.

there are some similar products that already have the panel separated from the lights, so those may suffice rather than hacking this one up.

Only dust to dawn, no motion activated. Umm, I think it'll waste lot of power during night.
