Had the H key go out on my K800 last night and needed something in a pinch and picked this up at Walmart. Went online to see if anyone had it cheaper and found that BestBuy has this for 50% off. Typing on it now and its different than my K800, but it's decent. Hope this helps someone looking. Corded and backlit.

Wonder, where did you get this from? In my experience this kb is clicky as hell, way louder than even Outemu Blues Confused

That's like saying...the Toyota currently is a really good deal, but the BMW as a car is better...

Apples to oranges and contributes nothing to this thread.

I can confirm that this keyboard is definitely no quieter than any mechanical switch keyboard I have used previously. I am actually not sure what benefit there is to having the membrane portion unless it was to reduce stroke and make the keycaps smaller. both of these being true. smaller keycaps and shorter throw.

Lighten up, Francis.

I find it helpful that it's pointed-out that this isn't a true Mechanical and most would consider it inferior to a true mechanical kb. If you disagree and prefer this type, then good deal 4 U!

I think the original post is misleading because it says "Hybrid Mechanical" which is misleading (and sets off many people's deal alerts for "mechanical.") It's not really mechanical, it is just a regular membrane keyboard with a clicky spring mechanism and lights. I'm sure it's a fine KB (Razer stuff is usually OK) and probably a good deal at $40, but not mechanical!

Go to the mechanical section - it explains how you can learn to not be a mouth breather and make mechanical keyboards quiet again! MMKQA!!!

Regardless, $40 for a back lit keyboard seems no deal at all.

I have a K70 RGB, and I'm having very severe issues with it with key chatter and double typing. I have my eye set on the Blackwidow Chroma V2 TE when it gets cheaper. However, I'm using the Ornata right now and I don't notice that huge of a difference between mechanical and the Ornata. If you do a lot of typing, Ornata is better IMO.

I've had this keyboard for 4 months after my previous mechanical keyboard stopped working. I like this one a lot more. There is less key travel and definitely less noise (maybe 20-30% less) compared to my previous Deathstalker. I think this is a great deal as I paid $80 for mine.

BMW's are great at taking a shit after 50K miles. They're also really good at tanking their resale value.
