I've been waiting for a price drop on RBK50 as I only need two, but this morning got an email from costco that the 3 pack RPK53 is only $399 after $70 instant savings.

It's more than I need and more than I want to spend, but a deals a deal right? Big Grin

Have the AC3000 / RBK50 which just 2 of them and am very happy with it so far. Not a bad deal, but Costco had this version for $349.99 around Black Friday.

argh see that kills me, my original plan was to price match best buy to amazon (which had rbk50 2pk at $269 at the time) and get the 10% cash back via chase pay, then watch prices for 60 days to do a price match if it dropped.

That way I'd have it now, get some cash back and protect against any lower prices... but weather kept me home that night and the next day the price shot back to ~$299. man was I pissed. I wish they sold the rbk53 at best buy I could do the same thing, but they don't

I do need this but I also can wait a few months. torn! my home is only about 2400 sq feet so I do think 3pk is overkill, but can't seem to get the right price on the 2 pack!

any input?

I think the 2 pack is definitely enough for you. My home is around 3500 sq ft. The lowest price I've seen on Amazon for the 2 pack recently is $284.99. They change the price on the 2 pack almost every day.

My house is a little over 5,000 sq ft and the two-pack provides great signal throughout.

I bought a two pack refurb (RBK50) on Amazon for about 250. Works great in my 4000 sq.ft concrete block construction. I'm getting 112mbps from all areas of my house and 100 outside. That's the max capacity for Comcast here

I purchased the RBK50 2-pack during Amazon's $250 deal just before Xmas. Working pretty well in 2400 SF, 2-story home. Signal strength is just slightly better than older Netgear router with extended network. Advantage is the single mesh network which minimizes issues for the mobile devices. Due to 2-story, upstairs would have better coverage if another satellite, so will add when find a cheaper deal. Simple setup, although required reconfiguring the Nest smoke alarms, as the IP subnet changed.

I bought the rbk50 2pack at Target for $235. I think Amazon had the same price but with Redcard I got an extra 5% off. I use it in a 4400 sqft home with a 1000 sqft garage and get great coverage anywhere in the house or garage.

Like others, I've been waiting for a price drop on RBK50 as well but got sick of waiting and pulled the trigger on 3-pack TP-Link Deco last night as Amazon had it for $199.99 briefly. Not my first choice but for a 1500 sq ft apartment with a weird layout, we'll see if the Deco works fine or if I need RBK50 after all.

Any thoughts on why Orbi instead of EERO 3 pack Gen 1? I realize EERO Gen 2 has the triband and is comparable to Orbi but if establishing a wired backhaul any value spending $100+ for Obbi... am I paying for the brand recognition? Some reports suggest Orbi still has issues with wired backhaul.

Interested iif anyone used both these systems and why they picked one over the other

TIA

I almost bit on this, as I do like the three unit setup vs 2, especially at that price. let me know what you think when you set it up, especially about the interface and features (guest network and Qos are important things I need)

Got the Orbi RBK30. I'm seeing full speed of Verizon 50 Mbps across the whole house. I'm sure RBK30 would be sufficient upto 3000 sqft. So unless you have a huge house this RBK 50 is an overkill. Got it for $80 during the Walmart Best Buy price match deal few weeks ago

How is this compare to Google Mesh? I was pretty disappointed with Google mesh and returned it.
Also, few items like Skybell, Arlo camera have similar issues of not connecting to mesh system due to not having 2.4GH and 5.0GH SSID's, does same issue with Orbi?
