Looks an awful lot like this tracker on Amazon that has really poor reviews.

You can get these for around a $1 at eBay shipped (slow boat). Agree with the above, what is really important is the app.

If you do get one of the cheapo versions, then there is an open source app which might work with them:

Having gone this route, this is really a 'you get what you pay for' situation. At this point I would stick with one of the well known brands as the battery life (6 months vs 1-2 years), range and app functionality is going to give a better overall experience.

Great points you make there. I figure if there's one close enough you could buy it and if it or the app is no good it's an easy return.
