Saw these in stock (Nvidia GTX 1080ti) for $999 @ PNY website [pny.com]. Couldn't wait so I bit on the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti XLR8 Gaming OC [pny.com]. They seem to be still in stock and a few different versions of them, so if you can't wait here is your chance. Hope mine ships soon!Peace

No it's not a good deal. Especially with Volta coming this summer, most likely.

The sooner they come out with some ASIC solution, the better for the people who actually use video cards for their original intended purpose.

At this rate maybe I should sell my 2 6gb 1060's and rebuild my gaming desktop after prices have dropped and pocket the profit.

My gaming laptop has a 1060, so I'd still be able to game. Hrmmm. Decisions.

When you receive this XLR8 card, be sure to peel off the sticker on the center fan. That fan hub cap is a different metallic surface and the XLR8 sticker comes off due to the heat of the card. Pull the sticker off so that you don't risk burning up a fan motor when it comes off and possibly gets stuck between the blades and the heatsink.

This happened to my XLR8 1080tis.

I bought a 1080ti yesterday from nvidia for $700. I don't understand why people are willing to overpay so dramatically for this card just because of high demand. It hurts everyone when retails and resellers realize people will pay so much that it inflates the price everywhere.

Just be patient and wait for things to come back to reality soon or set up stock alerts for cards at real retail prices.

DON'T overpay. That is the opposite of what this site is about.

This is not a deal guys. $1000 for a 1080 Ti is terrible even under these conditions. I've been buying 1080 Tis for a while now and the highest I've paid I think was $820 the other day and even that I felt was too high but it was for an MSI Gaming X so I let it slide. Typically I'm looking for under $800 but that is kind of tough now. Also you can get the Founders Editions from Nvidia for $699+tax though they are rarely in stock and they ship in 3 to 4 weeks.

There's ASICs like the antminer D3 and the newly released antminer A3, but they won't have an ASIC for every algo
