It's getting harder and harder to resist. I love my Panny VT60 but definitely want to upgrade to OLED. I just don't know if it makes sense to wait a little longer for HDMI 2.1. But what if the price difference will not be worth the upgrade? So conflicted!

I have a GT50 and I've been really struggling as well! 1st tv that really made me contemplate upgrading.

I'm in the same boat with a VT60. The infinite blacks, 4k, HDR, and not to mention the minimal input lag would all be welcome upgrades, but I'm holding out til at least HDMI v2.1. 120Hz, a variable refresh rate, and that additional bandwidth will come in handy one day even if I don't have a HTPC to take advantage of it today. I'm sure future consoles will.

Panny plasmas ruled the day but that day is over. OLED is markedly better. Only problem is all your other tv's look like sheiittt after you get one.

Honestly, the picture on Glass design, to me it looks so much nicer than the other models, otherwise id like the a7 silver bezel design. The sound bar is just a bonus, as im not gonna go out and buy an external one

For you guys waiting for HDMI 2.1- it's gonna be a long wait- 2018 models don't offer it either.

(and given there's near 0 content that'd make use of it that's not surprising)

HDMI 2.1 is here, but don't worry about it now [cnet.com]

Quote: HDMI 2.1 is almost ridiculously future-proofed. Most of the stuff it adds, like higher resolutions and frame rates, won't be widely available for years, if they come at all. A TV bought today or next year that doesn't have HDMI 2.1 will still be able to play back the vast majority of available content in the highest quality. And we don't expect TVs with HDMI 2.1 to even go on sale until late 2018 or, more likely, 2019.

That's a long time to wait if you want a new TV now. So our advice is to not to worry about HDMI 2.1 when you shop for a TV in 2017 or 2018. Unless you're a hard-core PC gamer with a top-flight rig, you won't be missing anything.

$$$$$$$$$

My guess is $9500. Complete guess with zero evidence to back it up.
