I am a Sony A7R user since my photography day 1. I start to realize that, lens can be very cheap beside sony E mount.

Very true but a $10 50mm 1.4 takuma work perfect on my A7. It was what draw me toward E mount-cheap lens. Ironic.

Sony lens are expensive for sure. No idea this is good or not, but my friend usually spent 400-500 to get a used prime Panasonic lens. Canon has more low end lens, but gets expensive if you want to get some L lens

This lens is overpriced at $500 but a good deal at $200 net, assuming you have another $300+ purchase to make at Adorama. I've found Panasonic lens QC to be very hit-or-miss lately - I've bought half a dozen Panasonic lenses in the past 1.5 years and had to return or exchange half of them due to decentered or misaligned elements or mechanical issues. I'd test this lens thoroughly before using the GC or sending in the warranty rebate.

Yeah, lucky find. But I found 4 Takumas 50mm for $5-10 the last few years. Here's in Houston flea markets they pop up every so often-part of my morning exercise routine. I now have tons of manual lens from those. I now have Canon Nikon (e and Nikkor) 50, 28, Olympus, Minolta... no name. As a matter of fact just got a big kit of Minolta this morning with a MD 50 1.7, Vivitar series 1 zoom but I bought it for the weird 21mm Rokunar- I googled but could not find anything so I just bought the whole bag for $20 (5 lens, flash, Minolta x700 with winder.......) just for the wide angle. I cant resist since the Nex 5 got me started Smilie will test it later.

Maybe I'll scour the flea markets too. But the entrance fee adds to the cost of the lens if I have to keep going to find it. Looking for a Canon FD 50mm 1.4, maybe 1.2 if cheap.

Overpriced for a short zoom 3.5-5.6 aperture lens (that's F-7 - 11.2 in full frame equivalents). I was looking at this lens in Nov for my GX85 and it was usually found on eBay new for ~$250-300. For my Sony emounts, I expect a good lens in this 12-60mm range to be f2.8 or lower (lower the f number, the better....usually).

Good luck on that. I only seen one 1.2 off brand early in my search (I think it starts with a T***). The guy asked for $100 and I was looking for cheap so I did not bite. That WAS the only 1.2 old lens I ever seen. My local flea markets does not charge for entrance fee. Cole flea market here used to be free but they change a couple years ago. I did get a couple of Takuma 50mm 1.4 from there.

I dont think you can get one from Trader village since there's a dealer there. I know he scouts the market all the time so he'll probably beat us to it.
