Costco.com - Rocket League Collectors Edition (Nintendo Switch PHYSICAL) $34.99 + $1.99 shipping

Costco.com has Rocket League Collectors Edition for Nintendo Switch (physical cartridge) for $34.99 + $1.99 shipping. Not sure if it's available in stores and at the same price to avoid shipping and make this a better deal.

YMMV for price matching.

Very YMMV: I mentioned to Amazon chat that I didn't see the 20% off new releases (can show them Best Buy product page for 1/16 release) for this particular game and I was given an $8 credit.

Is this any different from the $14 download version I paid for around Christmas time? (aside from having its own cartridge?)

Physical comes with some downloadable content included.
Supersonic Fury DLC Pack
Revenge of the Battle-Cars DLC Pack
Chaos Run DLC Pack
Four brand-new vehicles debuting in the Collector's Edition

eShop version is base game only (plus Mario themed car).

I believe the extra DLC contents are just cosmetics. If I was better at the game, I may re-buy the physical version. :-)

"Winner or nominee of more than 150 'Game of the Year' awards"

How many game of the year awards are there?

Lol u can get rl on sale for under $10 on other platforms but just because it's on the switch it's over three times as much, can't say it's worth it unless you are either die hard RL fan or you are desperate to play it on the go/on a handheld... Fun game but not worth $35 for me, I'll get it on the switch when it's on sale for five bucks

If you bothered to read the Prime discount on new games, they changed it a while ago to pre-orders only, and an exclusion on collector's editions.

It's an amazing game, got the definitive version on PC for $10. Gotta love that Nintendo Tax. Wink

I did happen to do that, but counted on Amazon chat not knowing/letting it slide anyways and it paid off. Smilie

You can get vanilla RL for under $10.

This includes several DLC packs.

Not saying it's worth it at $35 (it's not) but you're misrepresenting what this particular SKU is.

Also, this is a physical cartridge. You can resell or give it to somebody else. Or course, if you lose it, it's gone.

Nintendo did not develop or publish Rocket League. Nintendo doesn't get to decide how much other companies sell their games for.
