I should definitely avoid anti viruses in 2018. Windows defender is fine and these programs cause more issues. I got a blue screen with nod when updating the spect failure

Been using Eset since 2012 and have no issue whatsoever with performance. Maybe you need a fresh OS install.

I never had a single issue with ESET and have been using them for several years now.

Wasn't that the standard antivirus? This is Internet Security. Not the same product.

any reason to use this over any of the free software? I have been reading https://www.av-comparatives.org and feel like there are a lot of great free options. This is a serious question and not a slam of any kind just got a new laptop. Also, any help on firewall's, malware, spyware help is great too.

Cheers

No bloat or advertising. Really small footprint. Free upgrades while active. Cloud scanning and active scanning. Secure wifi and banking abilities. Much more... Best of all, small resource usage. Great price for 3.

ESET is a great antivirus solution. I've been using them for years too. You can't go wrong for $15/yr.

This is Internet Security. What you are referring is AntiVirus alone.
