I used these to install a water softener several years ago. Saved me hundreds versus having a plumber do it. Never leaked a single drop.

Weren't they made for PEX? I know they can be used with copper but thought the initial application was PEX.

You, sir, are wrong. Pex pipe expands a lot more than copper, making shark bite fittings a perfect fit.
