Yeah but you pay about 11% tax. I refuse to order from them because of that.

What's going on with the tax? Estimated tax they gave me is like 10.5%. The sales tax in my state is 5.5%.

GX overestimates tax on nearly every order. It applied tax to my food-only order recently, even though there is no tax on food in California. Discounts are also usually not applied until final invoicing (your initial card authorization usually will not show the discount).

If you're buying something from Bed Bath and Beyond (a GX store), be sure to compare pricing with their own site, and, if BBB's site is cheaper and you're buying one higher-priced item, use BBB's regularly available 20% off one item coupon instead.

I purchased the printer from Office Depot for $179 minus the 20% discount and yes I paid 10% tax but the printer is $229 everywhere else I looked so its a win win for me.

I also made purchases from Walmart and Costco where I was charged my normal CA tax rate of 7.75% but with the 20% off it came out cheaper, so it must vary by store

So in your experience has the tax been correctly calculated in the final invoicing?

Yes. Only once did I have to contact them, when the old model GX was operating.
