Been waiting for the 1st one to drop in price on pc. Its always 20 dollars plus, i doubt the 2nd one will ever drop passed 20 unless a mistake occurs.

I just started playing the first game a week ago and have been enjoying the hell out of the game. I'm not usually a fan of the Warriors / Musou games, but this one had a nice balance of RPG elements, quests, and crafting that mixed things up for me.

Went ahead and ordered this one at 15.99 (love GCU!)

The lowest these will go on Steam is 50%, almost guaranteed (like most 'Eastern' SquareEnix games), or $25. May be able to get it for less from the SE store or one of the 3rd party retailers like GMG eventually but 50% is definitely the mark to shoot for, at least for those of us with a large enough backlog that we can wait Smilie

EDIT: The normal price for the first game is $40, which is why the normal low price is $20, 50% off

Honestly what gave me the most enjoyment out of the first game is recognizing all the characters from the past DQ games. It would probably still be fun otherwise but choosing your favorite DQ characters is one of the biggest reasons to choose DQ Heroes over any of the other Heroes games. Aside from that, the plot isn't all that important IMO.

So in short if you're starting completely fresh, it might as well be with the first game. If you're familiar with the DQ series start with the first or pick the game that has your favorite characters.
