Sorry for the noob question...but how is this connected in terms of the input source? Is this something I can theoretically plug into a wall and hook up my USB A devices to charge? (I.e for travelling)

Devices I would charge:

1 iPhone
1 Samsung Galaxy S8+
1 Ipad Pro 10.5
1 Smart Watch (Gear S3)

It plugs in to the wall and should be able to handle all those devices without a problem.

From the looks of the product description and to keep the answer basic, yes, you can use it with all 4 of your devices simultaneously.

However, it will not charge at the fastest capable speeds for the iPad Pro and the newest generation of iPhones. iPhone 8/8+/X and iPad Pro require USB-C Power Delivery to get the fastest charging speeds. It should charge all previous generations of iPhones at the fastest capability of 12W which is what any stock iPad charger provides. Remember, Apple only provides a 5W charger with any iPhone purchase.

For the price though, this is definitely a deal to consolidate all your devices to one charging unit. I would hook up the Galaxy S8+ to the QC port and split the other 3 devices over the regular 2.4A ports. S8+ is the only device that can take advantage of the QC capabilities.

For travel, most of these types of chargers are capable of the worldwide input of 100-240V but there is nothing in the item description that verifies this. If you just need something to charge all your devices overnight using one plug, this should do perfectly fine.

From description: With high power 60W, maximum power output up to 2.4A. Support for your travel needs.

Not sure if this is the total or per port.

It should charge your iPhone X at 12W which is faster than the stock 5W charger but not at the max 18W+ speeds that require the use of USB-C Power Delivery and a Lighting to USB-C cable.

Got one as a backup to our current charger. With our phones, ereaders and tablets we can't live without a charger like this. Good deal for a 60W charger, and with 1 dollar digital credit for no rush shipping it's even better.
