Considering these would work with any VOIP service, I'd say a lot. Deals are always coming up on the Obihai devices for Google Voice and this deal would benefit those people.

Also, these phones have the Link2Cell feature, which lets you sync a cellphone to the base via Bluetooth. When you receive a call on your cellphone, these phones will ring too acting like a Bluetooth headset. This is great if you have spotty cell coverage in your house.

~40% of US households. Shrinking every day, but that's still a lot of people.

I have these running on an obibai and they're great. Also, for those who constantly ask who still has landlines in this day and age and ask their "smart and sarcastic" questions... elderly people in hurricane prone areas such as Florida. Landlines are the last things to go during a storm if they even do and often are the only source of communication during power outages post-storm (obviously not with a cordless).

FWIW, the Link2Cell feature means that you can park your cell phone near the base station and then use these phones to answer when someone calls. I like this better than having to carry my cell phone around with me at home.

Anywhere you might need multiple phones to ring at once. IMHO anything over 1,200sf or multiple floors.

We ditched the landline almost 10 years ago, but Voip and Bluetooth have kept the old handsets running.

Plus the ergonomics and sound quality of these run circles around any cell phone.
