Your question lacks the specifics that enable concise opinion (or reference). That said, maybe this linked site will help you, which reports the ADATA Ultimate SU800, but not this deal's SU650:

http://ssd.userbenchmark.com/

The site provides a 'compare' capability for the SSDs benchmarked. Hope this helps.

Samsung are normally top of the line while adata are budget drives. That being side, mine works fine. Couldn't say the same about my cheapo Patriots...all crappy

What do you mean? It's an SSD so in terms of size it will replace any notebook hard drive.

I normally use crucial .com website to check memory and hard disk compatibility

I have no idea about this particular drive but some 2.5" drives are in fact taller than others. I've bought 2.5" drives that don't fit in a PS3/PS4 because they're a millimeter taller than the stock drive.

You are comparing a very well known, highly rated drive to one that does not even seem to compare well against its much lower level tiered cousins. I.e. compared against other entry level drives, this one is mediocre. Compared to the tried and true 850, not much of a comparison at all. Note also the 850 is 500GB and this one is only 480. Not a huge deal, but given the price difference, that should be considered at least.

That depends on the model year.
