Picked up a bunch for replacing the old set ups Saturday.

YOU CAN ONLY BUY 4 -2PACKS AT THE $4.99 COUPON PRICE, AFTER THAT THEY ARE $14.99 A TWO PACK.

Still my 6 -2packs came out to around $4.16 a Fixture not including tax when I bought of them.

Al lot cheaper then anyplace I could find and any problems easy returns to the store.

This link is only to show product,

https://m.costco.com/Feit-5"-6"-Retrofit-2700K-Soft-White-850-Lumens-4-pack.product.100309546.html

You have to follow the directions, once I did one can the rest where easy and took only a few minutes each to install.

I use them with the FEIT DIMMER which Costco had two packs for $15.00.
Not sure they work with other dimmers well.

No buzzing or flickering yet and a fellow shopper was picking up more as he has been buying them over the last two years adding them with an addition to his house with no problems or failures.

I STRONGLY SUGGEST you open the packages to inspect them as I had read there was a number of reviews saying that there was finish inconsistency and scratchs on the outer rings which I also found on some when I looked before to pick out thr best before buying them.

I bought mine at the Dedham, Massachusetts location they had them at the Waltham, MA location also.

Hope you can benefit from my posting.

Feit is shite, really ... their bulbs die or start to flicker ... shorter lifespans than CFLs.

Bought a few from Costco, and after a month couple of them start dim and go to the full brightness after 10 minutes.
Thank You.

Usually these deals are restricted to a local utility offering the rebate.

Might be useful to put your location in the title.

I know West Des Moines, IA store has them. I bought (2) 2 packs at the OP's price, probably a month ago.
So far so good. Not as "white" as some Halo brand ones I have in my kitchen but for an upstairs hall, can't beat the price.

Serious question... (Not thread crapping,) What is the advantage of these retrofit kits when you can just use an LED flood bulb in an existing can? Thanks.

I have 6 that I bought 3+ years ago, they are still good. They are used at least a minimum of 4+ a day.

I think the new ones are higher wattage now?

I'm interested also. The retrofit would somewhat seal the cavity for heating/cooling efficiency I'm guessing.

all these deals are YMMV as they are subsidized by local electrical rebates. That said I wish Costco would stop using Feit brand as they seem pretty low end

Maybe they changed, but picked up a bunch over the last year and all have buzzing and low wattage issues; certain dimming ranges would create buzzing and if set too low the lights wouldn't turn on. No such problems with Cree retrofits however.

They're great if you're not planning to use a dimmer, but if you are I would highly recommend the Cree brand instead even at higher cost. I've tried multiple brands of dimmers (Feit, GE, Lutron) and Feit even sent me replacement bulbs and they still have the issue. YMMV.

I'll stick with converting my ceiling fixtures via screwing in led bulbs. I do not think FEIT is very high quality but do have some of them installed and they are fine so far.

As someone said they seal the can, but the cleaner look and not needing to buy a separate trim plate would be the other benefits. Of course, if you are retrofitting you probably already bought the trim plate anyways. They do have a cleaner look though.

I was given a bunch of used Cree cans leds and the plus with these is they have the spring hooks for attachment and the plugs are on wires. The Cree bulbs were about a 1/4" too long and leave an ugly gap between the ceiling and built-in trim plate.
