It seems from adorama reviews that these lack bass and that might explain the amazon reviews as thats all the average person seems to want. That being said, these seem fairly inline with being a set of monitors - tons of clarity and lacking excessive bass.

FWIW, I decided to go for it, I live in NYC so I can just go to adorama and return if I want.

Anyone have first hand experience with these?

the amazon reviews [amazon.com] of the Fender DXA1s aren't looking too great, but the reviews on adorama seem to be decent.

hmmm, buyer beware?

I wonder if you could use Shure new Bluetooth cable for these, I think it's the same adapter right?

Yeah. Should be fine as it uses an MMCX Cable.

Curious... do you already own that BT cable? I'm looking to get a BT cable for my 535's and MEE has one now for $60 [amazon.com]. Wondering if it's worth the extra $40 for the Shure or if it's even better at all. The Westone BT cable is $100 also after starting at $150.

I don't, I had a pair of shures a couple years ago and they were the best dam earbuds I ever had. When I saw they came out with the Bluetooth cable Ive been debating picking it up but weary about being their first kick at it.

If you want a CHEAP Bluetooth option, I'd suggest this Bluetooth Receiver [ebay.com] for around $12-15. I'm using one with the Shure SE215 for my iPhone and it works pretty well. No real issues minus the shut-down beep being a little loud. Pros are it lasts a fairly long time, far cheaper than any cable with Bluetooth receiver that I've looked, and still maintains decent sound quality. It's not quite as good as being wired, but close enough.

I own the Westone cable and that's nothing special. Ultimate Ears retrofits the Jaybird freedom cable with an mmcx connector. I may try that out. At least the controller would be water/sweat proof

I have a pair. To me they're a step up from the mee m6 pros. I feel like they have a little clearer and less trebly sound than those. For $40 it was a pretty good deal. For $30, they're good to test out or for a backup.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0...ref=plSrch we got these and they are very close in quality to se-215's I would suggest the upgraded cable. Sound quality is top notch

Which model sounds close to se-215s, the DXA or CXA?

Is there any other difference than the fact that ones has a cable with mic and volume control and the other doesn't? Specs page seem to be almost identical.
