John Deere is offering a $500 discount on their X300 series mowers (X350 on up) and X700 series mowers (X710 on up). This is the best discount that John Deere offers throughout the year. The X300 series is one step up from the D series offered at Lowes, Home Depot and select HD dealers.

These are in an entirely different class than the D/E series available in the big box stores. They're actual "tractors" -- heavy duty components, Kawasaki engines, built to last a very long time. Nice little units. I've had mine for 10 years, over 500 hours. Looks and runs like new. Only thing I've done to it is change the oil and sharpen the blades.

I have a D160 coming to a year old. It's a good lawn mower, work it hard with pulling carts full of dirt, cutting thick brush, etc. Test rode an x350 and only the engine was smoother. Not enough to warrant a $1k difference. Now a bare bones D105 i'd have zero interest in...

My D160 is going on 2 years old. I've been very pleased with it. It does light duty on my 1/3ish acre flat lawn. only moderate effort i ask of it is 2x a year pulling my core areator around. I got a killer deal on my unit, I think I paid around 1700ish with tax. Could not justify paying even $800 or $1000 more for the S series at the deere dealer

You are wasting your money unless you go with an X370 or higher. The X330 and X350 both have a K46 transmission which is notorious for having issues and wearing out after 3 to 5 years. Its the same transmission used on many big box store models. Google it an d you will see.

X350-48"Deck $3,599
Discount -$500
Farm Bureau -$100
Final Price $2999

The E160 is $2400 so for $599 extra you can bump up from the 100 series to the 300 series.
