Good replacement for a Moto X Pure?

33 14 January 22, 2018 at 03:34 PM
I hope I picked the best category for this, apologies if not.

I picked up a Moto X Pure a couple years ago and while I like the phone, after two years the battery is a shell of it's former self. I was wondering what a worthy successor might be in the $150-300 range (if there are any). Ideally something with better battery and camera that will work on T-Mobile.

Thank you for any and all help!

You might want to ask a mod to move your thread to the Tech Support forum, you will get better help there.

Moto Z Play has GREAT battery life. Camera is mediocre imo though. Not sure if it will fully work with T-Mobile but the phone is excellent. I was using it on AT&T before I lost it.

+ Battery Life
+ Stockish Android (the enhancements are minimal and actually helpful)
+ Modular accessories

- Camera is mediocre
- Modular accessories are expensive

Oh cool, I'll look into it.
As for moving it, sure. I was initially thinking of putting it in there but didn't really this of this as a tech support question.

I moved it here for you. We get LOTS of cell questions here.

For the record, if you are looking to save a few dollars, I often suggest swappa over ebay or craigslist.

Oh cool, I haven't seen Swappa yet.

As for the phone, in this particular case, I'm looking for new.

New (resale) is an option for sellers on Swappa.

Bad time to be buying a new phone right now in that price range as the motor x is pretty close to anything you can get new. If you feel even remotely confident with your ability to watch a YouTube video and repeat what you see replacement battery should be easy.
That said I loved my moto x pure as well but the crap Lenovo pulled with stalling updates after they bought Moto made me never wanna buy Moto again.
