5" difference. That makes for a hell of a lot of surface area when you're talking about the diagonal length of a TV.

I wouldn't call it bottom floor. Hisense actually makes great TV's, this is obviously their cheapest model but its certainly better than any of the absolute garbage brands out there like: Element, Westinghouse, RCA.

5 inches makes a huge difference in other departments as well....like monitor sizes

This price point seems to be the floor for a 60"... and only for this brand. I'm tempted but I've seen 55" consistently pop up @ $300-$350... So the value you're getting isn't worth the price jump for 5" more of screen real estate.
Where are you seeing 55's for $300-$350???

How does this compare to the 58 inch Samsung TV at Walmart? I get that this is 2 in larger, and about $50 cheaper, but which one is a better TV? Wal-Mart Samsung PN# UN58MU6070.

I'd like to know as well. The best I have seen was a closeout deal on a Samsung 55 inch for 400 a few weeks ago. I hesitated but should have jumped on it.

is this a good brand? I have been eyeballing the 58" sammy but this is bigger and less expensive. Replacing my 7 month old 55" Vizio smartcast!

It pops up all the time. (like once a month) Usually they're the low end brands; TCL, Hisense, Westinghouse. Check out this link from target. a 55" 4k smart westinghouse for $250... It's most likely sold out in your area but best buy sells them and they price match online prices. That's the trick. I bought mine from best buy and they price matched. And best buy has a stock locator so you can see if they have it in stock in your area

How long ago did you do this? Model numbers are different to what best buy currently has for sale.

This is a bottom floor quality TV. You will see a marked difference in quality between this and most other tv's.

There is a reason it is for sale at this price for this size.

Can you turn the motion smoothing off fully on these? I returned a similar TCL because the "motion sense" garbage could never be fully turned off - only to "low" and that's a deal breaker for me.

Used to be 50"+ was a big premium, now it's 60"+ is a premium
