App has some very bad reviews. Can this be used with different app?

No. I know the price point is "how bad it be for $11", but the answer is "you'd have a better time lighting $11 on fire and watching it burn".

I was recently shopping for an inexpensive fitness band/tracker like this one. I settled for the Mi Band 2, and after using it for a few days now I'm very impressed. I paid around $30 for it. Been using it 24/7 since Saturday, and the battery is still at 89%. The app is decent and the step count is close enough for me. I like the vibrate alarm to wake me in the AM. Anyway, don't mean to TC, but if you want an inexpensive band I'd check out the Mi Band 2.

I agree the mi band 2 is a good budget tracker. Purchased mine for about $20 from one of those slow boat sites. Mi band 3 is expected to be released this year so I'm sure prices will drop.

I also got the Mi Band 2 for the missus after the Altas band was too annoying.
She likes the Mi Band 2 MORE than the Alta!
Easier strap, lasts a week easily on a charge, and the dedicated touch area vs the "tap the screen" on the Alta provides for a much less frustrating experience Smilie

Agreed! For around $30, I'm not sure you can get a better fitness tracker than the MiBand 2. If I remember correctly, mine even has a year warranty (ordered via Amazon)!

I agree; I f-in love my Mi Band 2. I was previously a fitbit flex user, and the 30 day battery life is the real deal - amazing! It's not as generous on the # of steps as the flex, which may be a good thing in terms of motivation.
