There is a better adapter coming out in a few days. Don't waste your money on this one, they are just trying to clear it out before the new one arrives.

the old adapter has official support for Windows 7 and 8.1. The new one is only Windows 10, officially at least. doesn't mean it won't work with older versions of Windows, but until it's out in the wild, who knows.

Other than being smaller, what makes it better?

Other than being smaller then is no difference
The old one supports the same number of controllers and wireless audio (only on Windows 10)
Old one also officially works on Windows 7 and 8 which the new one doesn't mention

MS Store link to old one for description comparison

I would still not buy old Tech that is known to have issues with connections. Why give yourself the chance to have issues or headaches for less than ten measly bucks?

Your call, but it's important for deal threads to have all the facts

Noob question? What system controller does it support, Xbox 360, xbox one?

I checked the info page, look like only xbox 1 support.

I got this deal about 2 months ago from the same site. But received a controller instead. Never heard back from customer support. Buyer beware

This adapter is worth owning even if you have the newer Bluetooth controllers. It allows you to use the chatpad which is really useful for a ton of extra bindings!

there are 3 versions of xbox one controllers, the newest uses bluetooth... the other two require this adapter.

I use a cord and batteries on my old xbox one controller just fine, hence why I'm buying this SD
