Merkury Innovations Evo VR Starter Kit B&M - YMMV $3

VR Starter Kit with Bluetooth "gamepad" included (doesn't show in Walmart.com pics). I ran across these in my local WM store for $3. They had a ton of them left on the shelf, right beside the other brands for $15-20 for the same thing, and the controllers for $10 alone.

This is a really basic set where you put your phone into a tray and load it up into the goggles. It has a removable panel for AR apps as well as just using it for VR. It works using Google Cardboard's setup, so a lot of generic and free VR apps out there should be able to run on it.

The BT controller is supposedly able to work with Android and iOS. I was able to link mine up but didn't really test it out beyond that.

BrickSeek has been horribly inaccurate for me lately. Went to a Walmart near my cousins house that showed like 5 different SD B&M deals in stock and not a single one of them was available.

I think this one will be the same for me. Shows several in stock in locations around me on BrickSeek but when I try to checkout online it shows out of stock.

But good price nonetheless. Was going to buy one for my kids to try out.

Its not a BS accuracy, but WM employees accuracy.
Bought it for $5 two weeks ago.

I'd like to know how my Walmart can show over 50 of multiple items but when I go there are nowhere to be found.

Bought a similar one with bluetooth remote (Tzumi Pro) last week from walmart. These cheap ones have a clear plastic focus lens. Very Basic quality. It gave me headache in less than a minute. I returned it back in a day, since this may very well mess up my eye sight permanently.

I am not saying all VR is bad, But would recommend to stay away from these cheap ones unless you don't care about hurting your eyes.

It might not be Brickseek issue, might be that it's somewhere elusive, anywhere not the location the PDA say it is, and you know how lazy (If you don't, yep they sure ARE) the Walmart employees are, they will NOT look hard for you, at all!

Everytime I goto Walmart, not a single employee cared to ask me if I needed help with something, just avoid my path like a plague!

i do have 2 such walmarts in the 10-15 that show up in brickseek when i search.. i think those walmarts are very bad at updating their inventory.. it has to be walmart issue, not BS..

What do you mean? I'm not sure how BS updates their stock quantities, whether it's with the Walmart API or what but sometimes the Walmart app will show a product limited or out of stock on my phone while Brickseek still shows some in-stock.

I can't see how else that would be anything but a Brickseek inaccuracy. Unless you're referring to Walmart employees being unable to find a product in the back which is in stock but not on the shelves.

Bought few of this set recently from Walmart. I played few VR games and it worked well. Though you can't expect a very smooth experience. Next, I connected the controller to my Android TV and it worked great by using fn+B combination. I also played Minion Rush on TV and it worked well. IMO, at this price it worth a buy for casual playing.
