Too bad you need the DLC to do most activities now. This is an easy pass.

It's crazy how Destiny 1 is better than the sequel. It's like they learned NOTHING.

After years of a peak performing stock market, many execs are capitalizing on past successes, by low-performing on current/future works.

Methinks Bungie and Activision are just draining the Destiny line of value, and banking on retiring while markets are high. It reminds me of politicians who don't want to really address root cause problems, but just feed of the instability that surrounds it.

No wonder so many are littering Bungie forums with 'going back to D1' rants. So sad to see such excellence take such a dramatic swan dive. Guess we'll have to find other ways to laugh half-way to the bank.

You don't need it because there's 3 different classes to play through so you get your money's worth.

Yep. And once that's done in a month, then what? See how fast it accumulates dust? Or see where the resell to try to recoup on your purchase?

Is this not working for anyone else? I'd pick it up at this price.

Nah, you can still play through the entire game campaign minus the 3-4 hour DLC campaign no problemo, and there are plenty of people running around in-game without the DLC (you can see by the fact they are level20).

This "paywall" people bitch about is only if you want to do the grindy end-game stuff to max all of your equipment or play the multiplayer-stuff semi-competitively (in which case you can level your character higher with the DLC and therefore get better equipment) or play anything on that one exclusive planet in the DLC. So basically 100% normal restrictions for multiplayer games with DLC expansions...

Source: Bought destiny 2 last month, played through campaign alone + with friends occasionally. Then bought DLC, beat that campaign in a few hours. Did all the strikes at least once, leviathan raids, crucible a few times... meh... Don't get how people get sucked into the end-game grindfest, but those are the only ones that seem to be complaining about paywalls. If you just want to be entertained for 15-30 hours by playing the campaign normally like any other game with friends there is no "paywall" and so far you are only missing out on the 1 planet + 3-4 hours of campaign missions the DLC adds.
