I'm not familiar with this knife...or most of the CRKT offerings. But this knife is available in 4 colors and 2 blade options. Stainless bead blasted Tanto style can be had for even less...$16.93 as of now. Great price on what sounds like a good knife. Right when I am trying to save money for the new releases being announced at SHOT Show.

2-step locking system on the knife? No thanks. Never have I though "hmm, I need more steps to fold a knife."

I couldn't get the OP's link to work in my browser: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006SK1...g=UTF8&me=

Good knife for the price. I've got the M16-10Z version with the stainless tanto blade. Solid, secure linerlock lockup, easy to flip open for a manual knife. Hinge screw has a textured, slotted nylon head so is easy to adjust without searching for torx wrench. Thumb studs are flush, textured, don't hang up on your pocket but not very effective for opening knife so stick to the flipper. I can work the liner lock and disengage the safety to close the knife with one hand. Tip down carry only. Fairly light and slim knife in pocket, but handle may be a bit skinny for some. No real texture on the nylon handle, but wavy shape fits in the hand well and gives you some extra purchase. Good gimping on the spine of the blade for your thumb.

The budget 8Cr15Mov stainless blade takes a nice edge, but my blade seems to roll with use. Comes back to razor sharp with a few swipes of a steel. Pretty indicative of 8Cr15Mov steel, which is a good bargain stainless that is easy to sharpen and holds it's edge for a reasonable time considering the price. Wipe clean after use, a bit of oil and maybe some thread locker on the screws = a lifetime of service so long as you don't use it as a pry bar. If you abuse a knife and it rusts or breaks then blame the user, not the knife.

There are better knives for $30, but this is nice knife for $17.

EDIT: If you go to the CRKT website and look at the M16 series of knives [crkt.com] you will see some are made of 8Cr15MoV steel and give an HRC of 58-60, while others are just listed as 8Cr13MoV steel and no hardness rating. I don't think in use you would notice much difference. These are one of the better budget steels but still somewhat soft, so will need to be occasionally trued up with a steel or sharpened more often. It's about the best steel you will get in a <$20 knife, unless you run into a deal on a knife made with AUS8 or 14C28N steel. http://knifeinformer.com/discover...ife-steel/

Blade Length 3" (76.2 mm)

Sometimes you want more than just a liner lock.
