Very sharp. Used it exclusively last deer season. Worked great for gutting and skinning.

Great no frills knife. Can't beat the price. I prefer the companion over this one but it's more money.

Is the biggest difference the blade length?

There are many style of Morakniv's. The Companion comes in Stainless and Carbon blades. This blade is thicker ("stronger") and shorter than the companion. The sheath also comes with an additional place to add one more sheath (not sure how practical that is). I think the biggest difference is the blade thickness (Robust is a shorter blade by.5").

There is a Companion Heavy Duty that it would be considered similar too.

You really can't beat this knife for the money. Comes sharp and works great. It is carbon steel so you need to take care of it though or it will rust, but that is all carbon steel, not a complaint on this knife

Besides the blade length the thickness is also different. IMO the companion is a perfect, well, companion knife for food prep at the camp site. Don't get me wrong, plenty of people will swear by the multifaceted uses for just that knife when I comes to bushcraft and survival. Me, personally, will leave the batoning and heavy work for my BK7. The companion just has the longer reach and just slightly thinner blade for food prep. It really depends on your needs, knives aren't one size fits all.

Product page says $9.62, but it's $15.93 when I add it to my cart.

Might be an issue with the available stock.

Edit: Now the product page is saying $15.93.
