regular price on this is 199, and its been as low as 180 with promo. so this is a promotion for two sonos ones for the price of one HOMEPOD

might want to fix your title to show this.

also the homepod is trash

also these arent that great, unless you are only using them in single rooms. these are not able to be paired as back channel speakers in any way, so they are standalone only.

How is this "two for the price of one unit"?

One unit = $200
Two units = $400

This deal saves you $50, which is fine but definitely not "two for the price of one"

Wait this is not 2 for 1!!! And Sonos runs a $50 off pretty regularly as of late! Not sure why anyone wants the Sonos Ones...
Get the Sonos play 1s for 125 bucks and call it a day. The Alexa feature blows on the Sonos One!!

Exactly!
They mean for the price of Apple speaker without mentioning it. Many people will miss it.

Love my sonos speakers, but this is pretty standard pricing...it's only $25 off each if you buy two. Before Christmas, these could be had as low as $156 each. Decent deal if you're needing to buy two today, but otherwise not all that great.

Amen on the Alexa integration blowing. I gave up and went with Play:1's.

I have been with them since the beginning and they may not survive now that the market they pioneered has been completely invaded.

Likewise. The shit they are integrating is options I'll never use.

I have been thinking about getting into Sonos because of their wireless mesh technology to eventually wire up my house and wanted to start with their soundbar for my downstairs TV. Who is invading their market that I should consider instead? Sonos seems pricey for the actual sound quality you get based on reviews I have read.

I have Sonos, an Echo and multiple dots, and a Google Home. I'll probably get a Homepod to try it out.

I can tell you that for audio quality, the Echo and Home don't come anywhere close to a Sonos:1 or one...and on top of that, Sonos has the connect and connect:amp so you can provide your own speakers with even better quality audio. For DIY whole-home audio, there is really no competitor yet.
Echo and Home are good assistants, but the audio quality of them as speakers keeps them as just that...assistants. To be perfectly honest, I don't see where Apple fits into the whole thing. Siri is a very distant 3rd when it comes to a voice assistant...it really kinda sucks. If they have a great sounding speaker at $350 that doesn't do multi-room audio at launch and includes a mediocre voice assistant, I don't see them biting into Sonos' market share much at all. Mac-heads will buy them, as will home tinkerers like me, but I'm not putting away my Sonos for them.

I'll add that I'm a big Apple guy, too...I love their ecosystem between a macbook, and imac, and ipad, and an iphone. I was excited about the idea of them doing a speaker, but the more I heard about the high price with no real killer features, the less excited I got. We'll have to see, but I don't see this biting into Sonos' market niche much at all. Just my opinion, there.

I don't think that will necessarily be the case. They'll tweak the Alexa integration over time, which is really all they need to do in the short term. Their stuff looks good, sounds good, and the app is easy to use...or at least was. Surely they will fix it.

(Sonos...please change your app back. It was just fine the way you had it 4 months ago, or whenever the major UI change was)
