Interesting. If it was an
SSD I'd say deal

I can't find any info about the 1 year warranty. Is it an Apple warranty? Is this an authorized reseller?

Yes. Processors, ram, and HDD are upgradable on these but to similar generation. (ie: i7-6700K instead of 7700K. )

There was a YouTube channel that someone did the upgrade on these 2014/15 gen that I recently watched.

Edit. This is one of the video that describe all needed (HDD temp sensor, seal kit, etc). (Keep in mind he is doing the 2017 model) for first gen, you will need the other processor.

I am awaiting info regarding the warranty from the seller as i was not able to confirm via apples web site. They said they would get back to me several days ago yet no word as of yet.

It is packaged as you would expect from Apple and the keyboard box states "Apple Refurbished"

Ram is an easy upgrade, hard drive is not.

Me too, i contacted these guys during recent 10% ebay bucks deal to see if they would flex from $1350 and they said no.

i bought one when they dropped to $1150 with no ebay bucks and now wish i had waited 2 weeks.

$50 to rent a computer for 2 weeks - not bad.

Why -4 rating on this deal? A few years old, but has most of the tech that people will use.

Because it's from 2014 and you can get a nice monitor and desktop with most of the tech that people will use for less now in the year 2018. Also, OP used exclamation points in a mediocre at best deal, so instant TD.

Where can you get a 27" 5K monitor for under $1100?
