I am not sure if it's a mistake but I went to Amazon and buy a $50 eshop and choose no rush and it took off $16. see attachment.

Didn't work for me. Do you have promotional credit that is applying to your order?

I think it just applied your no-rush rewards, so not so much a discount. So this will probably only work if you have them, and even then they're supposed to only work on digital. I think a similar bug came up before where they could be used on physical items. So this may not be limited to Nintendo eShop credit.

Didn't work for me probably just a promotional balance you had on your account already.

It's an e-gift card, so no shipping option would pop up. This is BS

This happened to me at Christmas. I was buying a $25 card and $9 came off. It turned out is was my digital credits from no rush shipping. Now my husband has been redeeming our credits for $5 eshop cards as soon as we get them. Much better use of the no rush credits for us then movies or music.

no rush credits apply to most digital software items.. I use them for turbo tax, eshop cards and live memberships, and digital games outright work too

After buying our tax software I plan to do this too

Never knew my no-rush credit could be used for this. Now I'm kicking myself for brushing off when they'd expire, thinking I'd only ever use them for mp3 downloads.

You got a discount because it used the promotional credit that was on your account from previous orders that were placed with the 'no-rush shipping rewards' incentive program.

You had $16 in slow shipping digital credits, so the system applied them. That is what they are there for. I thought everyone knew that.
I have almost $1500 worth of psn/nintendo/xbox credit because of the slow shipping credits
