Too big for me but I know a lot of other people like the 43's.

Beautiful price! 43" I think is the most ideal size for a 4k, 50" is good too.

Can't wait for this (40-50" 4k monitors) to be the standard so prices on them drop!

90 days warranty is too short.

I got the 48.5 inch Acer monitor from Newegg a couple weeks ago for $399 and it was not worth it to me.

Acer has pretty bad quality control. I had lots of backlight bleed along the bottom of the unit I got, and even the laptop I got from them suffers from the same problem, and it's a common problem amongst most of their monitors. Mine also had a bad flicker line issue on one input but that doesn't seem as common a problem. I also couldn't get the displayport to work but that's probably a lack of compatibility and not a result of bad quality control.

The picture by picture mode only allows up to 2 inputs, which was the real deal breaker for me because the only reason I passed on the 43 inch LG 4k monitor deal was because I assumed all monitors with pbp allow up to 4 inputs and there was no documentation to confirm/deny.

Otherwise, after hours of playing final fantasy xv on it and some casual computer use, I think the picture is great and the built in speakers are good for what they are. I'm still returning it though because, as great a deal as $399 was, I can't justify paying that much for those flawed features.

Fwiw, this seems to be the price point for the 32" 4k monitors so I'll still thumbs up.

Newegg has this Acer 43" monitor for $470 new with 3 year warranty just went on sale today - probably worth the extra $100. Make sure this is what you want if buying from Newegg as their returns hit very hard if you open the package. Thought about this refurb too, but think I'll pass due to all the negative comments on this monitor - bummer. Guess I'll hold out for an LG 43" er. thanks for the heads up op.
