There are other garage door openers with $50 back in points. Belt Driven is quiter and has Wifi but you will have to spend couple hours installing it.

You might be correct, but I will say my Craftsman belt-Drive from 15+ years ago is still running and I open and close it a lot. It is just now starting to act like the motor is hesitating a bit, but it could be the very cold weather we've had here. It's still running. I think 15 years for a garage door opener is a very good lifespan.

Nice. Do you think Sears going out of business eventually will have an effect on warranty/serviceability on these garage openers?

Buy it on your card. Craftsman is now owned by Stanley-Black&Decker. Found this

Since it's now owned by Stanley most likely it won't. Sears is huge - it won't die - just be bought out, the name is infamous. Stanley may cancel their own name.

Just purchased the belt driven model. I wonder how long the sale will last. It says that you will get the points the next day, do you think I could use these to purchase another door opener AND get an additional $50 in points? Probably not, I am guessing. I am new to the Sears cash back system.

If you're going to get the belt-drive, spend a few more bucks and get the one with battery backup and WiFi. It's on sale for $239.99 and you get $52.40 in SHOPYOURWAY cashback. I still have a Craftsman belt-driven from 14 years ago. It seems like it balks a little when opening, so maybe it's time to upgrade and get the battery backup and WiFi. It has been a very good opener. I highly recommend the belt-driven. So much quieter and no maintenance.

Lol Sears will die and soon and the name will not live on. Save this post. Go look at their stock there is no value in it.

I noticed the $50 cash back is actually not just on this product but many.. I wish they had deals for people that dont own that card too, not looking to open a new card just to save $50.

Edit: My bad, apparently no credit card needed! Nice Smilie

You get what you pay for here. Genie or Overhead Door Company are the way to go.
