Great deal! I just ordered this on amazon without all this. Will return that order and reorder at Adorama. Thanks!

Will the 3K hold up as well as the 5K?

My old one from the previous line up can barely hold up an action cam now

Reviews seem to say that the joints are a lot stiffer now.

Do you know if these are the aluminum joints? I thought I read somewhere that only 5K has them but can't find it now. At this price I could get three 3Ks and they might last longer than one 5K. Or two 3Ks and an Acra ballhead

5k is aluminum, 3k is Japanese ABS and German TPE, 1k is unspecified plastics, according to their site. I just bought the 1k using the b&h photo deal, hoping the unspecified plastics aren't a huge downgrade from the 3k's...

Thank you for the info. I like that the Gorillapods are much faster to adjust than the traditional tripod but upset that the joints on mine gave out after occasional use. I usually just have a point and shoot or action cam on it. Hopefully the joints really are better. Enjoy the 1K! Looks sleeker than the 3K and 5K. Not a fan of the red trim on them.

From my experience, if you use them often, gorillapods have to be considered consumables. But for occasional uses they'll last you a long time.

Tried one years ago and found the quality lacking. Is this worthwhile versus a rigid tripod such as thd ultrapod ii? I could probably get away with the the 500 model.

I've been looking at these for a while now. I don't necessarily need the accessories, but I never see them really go on sale much. This was enough to finally make me bite.

Do your joints break or just get too loose? If too loose I would think you could rough up the joint and add friction to make them stiffer.

Is it possible to get similar offer from B&H? In that case 10$ off via google pay would be sweet.
