Hands down the best starter drone out there. If you need to get your feet wet with drones and don't want to pay $100+ for a toy, this is it and almost indestructible. I've cut the throttle 60 feet up, crashed it hard, and the thing still works. Dropped the controller onto concrete, still works. Here's some sample unedited video (turn off your sound):
https://youtu.be/NDwN3mfgYqw

Not the greatest quality video but still fun to mess around with.
I have a Phantom 3 Pro also, but still bust this thing out every now and then because I can be bold and do much more with this thing (aggressive flying) than I'd ever do with the phantom.

Great price OP. This thing is a good deal at $30

Youll want extra batteries. I picked up these at Amazon and they work just as well as OEM.

WHAT??? Mine made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs!

35-40mph? Lol.
These are barely able to fight the wind, forget about hitting Phantom 3 or 4 speeds.

Nice starter drone and low price for it. Agree on the video quality, but the pictures are decent

Ive had mine for a while. Pretty tough but it does have issues once in a great while.. Power cuts in and out or goes crazy and crashes. Its rare but i keep from flying close or over people. Camera quality is crap.

Its perfect for getting into drone photography. Just like hubsan x4 is perfect for getting into racing/performance quads.

agree best starter drone on the market.

I build my own race drones now, but this is an amaizng learning tool for less than 1/10th of most real drones and can still easily hit 35-40mph. Amazing fun. I put 40 hours in easy before i got my first "real" drone which was a DJI phantom.

Is this the X5C-1 model by chance?

Weaknesses in X5C have been addressed in X5SC which is a better model and can accommodate higher capacity 1200 mah and slightly bigger sized battery.

The X5C-1 is much improved over the original X5C model.

The item pictured is the x5c-1 even though it is not labeled as such. The design/artwork on top is specific to the -1. Also, last time I bought from Tenergy via Amazon I got a x5c-1.
